ARR TRAIL SERIES — New for this year
After looking at the members survey from last year, where over half of our members said they'd like to get involved in more trail running, we've created a mini series to give people the opportunity to take part in some beginner friendly local trail races (but still challenging for more experienced runners).
The races are all organised by local clubs and are around £6 each to enter; most are between 4 and 5 miles and we have a 10K included too. These are suitable for all abilities and offer an introduction to trail running. Most are low key local event and some even have food and drinks after.
To add a bit of competition, we'll be using a handicap scoring system, like with our handicap series, using the 5 mile target times, but scoring will be done by taking your best 5 scores from the possible 8 races... although the main reason for the series is to give the opportunity to try trail running and enjoy running in completely different environments.
