The Chair’s report reflected on a fantastic April — highlights included 10 members at the London Marathon, a hugely successful Goole Spring Handicap with 86 Ackworth runners taking part, and the return of evening racing with Hartcliffe Hill and the South Yorkshire Road League back on the calendar.
The club’s finances remain in good health. Membership is strong at 311, with potentially 6 new members expected to join following the current C25K programme, which is due to graduate on 4th June at Wintersett.
Looking ahead, the Priory 10k already has 200 entrants and the KB 10k is also taking shape. Other items discussed included training night leadership, the Nostell parkrun takeover on 27th June in celebration of the club’s anniversary, and suggestions for summer socials and training nights at away venues.
